Meet Tamar
Tamar was Judah’s daughter-in-law who, after being denied her rightful place in the family line, disguised herself to secure offspring through Judah. She is later declared more righteous than Judah and becomes part of the Messianic line. (Genesis 38)
Judah recognized them and said, “She is more righteous than I, since I wouldn’t give her to my son Shelah.” And he did not sleep with her again. - Genesis 38:26
